She comes to with no memory of who she is, which is a rough start to any day, and works out soon enough that the ordinary world she thought she was in has a secret facility underneath it. A team of commandos have been sent down there to sort out whatever has gone wrong, and it has gone very wrong indeed. Getting in was never going to be the problem.
This is corridor horror at its most relentless, all locked doors and a facility that seems to be working against everyone inside it. Once the virus reveals what it has done to the people trapped down there, it tips fully into zombie territory. It sits on the sci-fi end of things, sterile and clinical, which makes it colder rather than gentler.
Put this one on when you want pace rather than atmosphere, something that keeps moving from one narrow escape to the next. It suits anyone who likes a mission bolted onto their scares, a reason to be down there beyond simply surviving it. Finding it all out through her eyes, with no more memory than she has, is a neat way to be pulled along.
