There's a particular kind of dread that comes from watching a house slowly stop feeling safe, room by room. It starts small and ordinary, the sort of thing you'd put down to a bad patch, before it tips into something a mother can't reason her way out of. Two priests get pulled in when medicine runs out of answers, and the film sits in that space between faith and helplessness rather than rushing to explain itself.

I won't spoil where it goes because half the power is not knowing how far it's willing to take you. It's the kind of scare that lodges itself somewhere behind your sternum rather than making you jump, so don't expect quick shocks. This is a lights-off, phone-away, sit-with-it sort of watch.

Not one for a first date or a casual Tuesday. Save it for a night when you actually want to feel unsettled for a few hours afterwards.
