A sorority house at a university called Wallace becomes the hunting ground for someone dressed as the campus's own Red Devil mascot, and the pledges of Kappa Kappa Tau are the ones getting picked off. It has all the trappings of a proper slasher, but it never quite trusts them, or itself, to stay serious for long.

This is horror playing dress-up as satire, so the fear here is the jump-scare, chase-through-the-dark kind rather than anything that lingers after the lights go back on. It knows exactly what a slasher is meant to do and does it while also laughing at itself, so don't expect nightmares, more raised eyebrows and the odd genuine jolt.

It's a good one for a night when you want horror but not the heavy kind, something to half-watch with a takeaway on your lap and no real risk of hiding behind a cushion. Two seasons, so there's a proper campus mystery to chew through if the killer's identity is bothering you by the end of episode one.
