This one's for anyone who likes their werewolves played straight rather than as a punchline. It's a horror drama with a solid streak of fantasy running through it, made for Netflix over two seasons and twenty episodes.
It isn't built around one single scare so much as a running unease, born from a story that treats its secret society and its curse as something to take seriously. The drama and fantasy share the screen fairly evenly with the horror, so don't expect wall to wall terror. This is more slow dread than jump scares.
Jake Manley leads the cast through that mix, under Dennis Heaton's creation. It's American made, in English, and it's the sort of thing that rewards a proper binge rather than a single episode dipped into here and there.
Curl up with something warm before you press play. Twenty episodes across two seasons is a proper commitment, so save it for a run of darker evenings rather than one sitting on the sofa.
