The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon

This one picks up the story of Daryl Dixon after his own show ended, and drops him somewhere he never expected to land. The dead still walk, the living still scheme, and Daryl is doing what he's always done best: surviving on instinct and very little sleep.

It shares its world with the original series, so the dread is the familiar kind, the slow creeping sort rather than jump scares. What's different is the setting. New country, new rules for staying alive, and a language barrier that makes every stranger a bigger question mark than usual.

It's less a haunted house and more a long walk through hostile territory, which is its own particular flavour of unsettling. Good for a night when you want tension that simmers rather than spikes, with a hero you already trust to get through it, even if you're not sure how.

Norman Reedus carries it the way you'd expect, world weary and quietly stubborn. If you liked the original for the survival over the shock, this keeps that same nerve.
